This dialog is opened when you press the Grid transform... button in the Field dialog.

OpenMaXwell can perform Conformal mapping transformations on 2D grids in the xy plane and general 3D transformations on 3D grids. Note that these transformations can only be applied to irregular grids. Make sure that you are working with an irregular grid by inspecting the Field dialog first.
Define the formula for conformal mapping in the corresponding edit box of the Conformal mapping group. Note that the formula is complex and the location of a point in the xy plane is represented by the complex variable v. Moreover, you can define the four complex parameters p0,p1,p2,p3 in the corresponding boxes of the Conformal mapping group. Note that the constants have the same meaning as in the Field formula dialog.
Three real valued formulae define the 3D transformations of the three Cartesian components X, Y, Z of the grid points. Note that the three variables v1=x, v2=y, v3=z , the four parameters p0, p1, p2, p3, and the constants c0, c1,… are also real. The constants are equal to the real values of the constants used for conformal mapping, except c0, which is equal to 1.
When you press the Check Formula button, OpenMaXwell will perform some syntax checks on the formulae. When a syntax error is detected, OpenMaXwell will put an exclamation mark in front of the corresponding formula and display a warning.
Press the Apply !! button in the Conformal mapping group or in the 3D transformation group to apply the conformal map or 3D transformation to all grid points. Note that the exclamation marks indicate that the dialog will close as soon as you press one of these buttons.
Press the Read… button to read grid transform data from a file. A file name dialog will allow you to select a file name to read from.
Press the Write… button to write grid transform data to a file. A file name dialog will allow you to select a file name to write to.
Press the Close button to close the dialog. Note that the data in the dialog becomes effective upon closure.
