The expansion files contain the data of 2D and 3D MMP expansions. Each expansion is characterized by a 3D local coordinate system, although a 2D local coordinate system would be sufficient for the 2D expansions. Note that the expansion files contain two lists: 1) the list of expansions and 2) the list of associated parameters.
