AVI movie files, *.AVI

The OpenMaXwell animation tool uses the Microsoft AVI (Audio Video Interleaved) standard for saving the movie information. AVI files generated with OpenMaXwell can be viewed on any AVI movie player, such as the Media Player that is included in Windows 95/NT/XP/Vista and various applications can compress and convert AVI files. As soon as an AVI file shall be created, it displays a dialog that allows you the select the compressor. The compressors available depend on your installation. The quality of the resulting AVI movie depends on the selected compressor. "Microsoft Video 1" is usually available and a reasonable choice.
