-> no edges found for node string <inflow>,

I tried to do a hydraulic simulation in a large river, and have this type of error many times ?

-> no edges found for node string <inflow>, in file: /builds/BASEMENT/BASEMENT-OP2/src/BASEplane/setup/Mesh.hpp on line 89, version v3.0.2
-> ... unfortunately BASEMENT is killed!

What could be the problem? is it related to my .2dm file? or something else?

Re: -> no edges found for node string <inflow>,

Hi

have you set everything correctly in your mesh (putting the stringdef at the end of the 2dm file) and in your model file?

To me it seems that you have not defined the stringdefs in your 2dm file.

Refer to the tutorial and the manual to understand how to do it!

Cheers

Re: -> no edges found for node string <inflow>,

Hi, did you find a solution for this problem? I also get this error message and my NS are defined at the end of the 2DM file.

Thanks and cheers,
Eva

**Update with solution**
I checked my NS at the end of the 2DM file. In one NS, there were two nodes listed after each other which are not connected by an edge in the mesh. The mesh was automatically generated by Basemesh so I do not know how the error occured. I shortened my stringdef and made a new quality mesh and then a new computational mesh. Then it worked.
