material indices disregarded in xl mesh generation

I am trying to generate a mesh for BM3. But when using the XL Mesh generator with QGIS 3.14 and BASEmesh1.4.5, the resulting mesh does not contain the MATID codes, all values are 0. I also tried using QGIS 3.10, turning on and off snapping (-6 and -9) in TRIANGLE, moved the region points around inside the sones, and tried also using the old mesh generating procedure (non-XL), still no effect and same error. What else could I check, any hints on what can be wrong?

This is how part of the resulting 2dm looks like:

Re: material indices disregarded in xl mesh generation

Hi,

sorry the dumb questions, but it might worth checking these things:

1. have you properly defined a MATID in your points layer (region definition)?
2. have you built the mesh with breaklines defining closed areas?
3. be sure to check that every breakline ends and begins on a node of another breakline/of the boudnary.

Best,
Matteo

Re: material indices disregarded in xl mesh generation

Thanks for the help. I'm still not sure what the reason was, but I re-edited all endpoints in a new map and they finally worked (but I couldn't see any leak points). I was suspecting that if I use a different projection for the map itself than what the individual layers are saved in, it might lead to some trouble...
Thanks for the help anyway

Re: material indices disregarded in xl mesh generation

Hey, glad you solved your problem.
Sure, all layers must have the same projection of the QGIS project!
Cheers
