Van Rijn bed load formula gives no transport

Hi
I am running a single grain size bedload simulation in Baseplane 2.8.

I tested different bed load equations: Engelund-Hansen, MPM, Rickenmann. They all gave sediment transport and several meters of bed changes.

Then I tested Van Rijns bed load equation. Whith that equation there was absolutely no bed change and no sediment transport.

I use the same soil (d50), same mesh and initial and boundary conditions as with the other bed load equations. I get no warnings or errors.

I use a single grain size (d50 = 0,5 mm), and in the input for the Van Rinj i also set d90 = 1 mm.

There is no doubt that there should be considerable transport in the model. So what is preventing it?

Any recommendations, suggestions?

Kind regards,
Marulke

Hi Marulke

This seems to be a bug. Thanks for pointing this out.

Best regards
Matthias
