Error: the edge stringe 'Outflow' is not correct

Hi,

I am trying to run a 2D simulation using a mesh created in BASEmesh (within QGIS). When running the simulation I get the following error message:

-> The edge string 'Outflow' is not correct!
No edge found for these node number '48538', '48567'.
Please correct the edge string in the command file.
-> Domain: Simulation stopped due to errors

I then go back to find these outflow nodes, and both of them are on the computational boundary edges. I have played around with the upstream direction - changing it from left to right, but this error still occurs.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Cheers,
Zac

Re: Error: the edge stringe 'Outflow' is not correct

Hi,

Usually this error message indicates one or more missing nodes in your string definition between the nodes 48538 and 48567.
If you extracted the string definition with the tool in BASEMesh, the breakline did not properly snap to the required mesh nodes.

hope this helps

Mat

Hey,

I get the same error message and your answer Mat makes sense to me. I re-snaped the breakline to the nodes, but it didn't help.
Do you have a solution?

Thanks,
Joanna
