Creation of Region Marker Points for a huge area

Hey everybody,

I have a problem with the Point-Shapefile for the Quality Meshing. Like in the tutorial I want to create a point-layer where I can define the different regions (max_area, material index, holes). The problem is, that I have a very huge area with lots of buildings and also different land use (greenland, streets...). I need to define also different soil properties, roughness...
The tutorials says: The atrributes have to be set individually for each region, which is embraced by breaklines or boundariesand are specified by placing a point into this area.
I still added the buildings to my breakline-layer, but must I put in each building a region marker point for the holes? Or is there a quite easier way?

Sry for my bad englisch :(

greetings Jasmin

Re: Creation of Region Marker Points for a huge area

Hi Jasmin

If you have a Polygon-Layer of your buildings and different land use, you could create a centroid point layer and use it as your region layer (Vector -> Geometry tools -> polygon centroid )

Hope this helps
