BASEMENT v4

Hi,

I have a couple of different questions. That's why I'm posting this here.

- At first could we please get a Forum Topic for the newest BASEMENT Version v4?

- Also this page https://basement.ethz.ch/download/tools/basemesh.html still shows BASEmesh 2.0.9 as latest Version, instead of 2.2.0. Is there a reason for that? Is 2.2.0 unstable and/or not recommended?

- Also I got some trouble with my mesh in BASEMENT v4.0.1 (HPC) generated with BASEmesh 2.2.0 in QGIS 3.28.2.

While trying to write the setup file, I get this error message:

<E:....../computational-mesh.2dm> not valid., in file: Z:\src\BASEplane\setup\processing\MeshBP.cpp on line 170, version v4.0.1>

It seems to refer to a foreign file path. I dont even a have a drive named Z. I'm a bit clueless here.

Best regards
Marc

Re: BASEMENT v4

Hi marc
i can only address the second and third of your points:

- basemesh: check this link
- the mesh could be wrong for many different reasons. Lately I found out that for very long stringdefs sometimes the vertices are not in the correct order...it is hard to say what your problem could be.

I suggest you write a topic of each of your issues.

Cheers
Matteo
