Wu formula - slope

Hello,

I'm using the Wu formula for the multi-grain simulation.

I would like to understand better how the local slope is considered with this formulation, I find it not very clear in the reference manual.

Thank you in advance for your help,

Irene

Re: Wu formula - slope

Hi Irene

The local slope correction is applied on the critical Shields parameter for each grain fraction (theta_cr,g). However, I am not sure if the local slope correction makes a lot of sense in combination with the Wu formula, test this carefully! I would recommend using the local slope correction more for formulas like mpm_mulit or mpmh.

Hope this helps!
cheers, Lukas
