Steps at the edge of the river channel

Hello all,

I have another question about my mesh.
Unfortunately, my mesh (created with Basemesh) is very stepped and choppy at the edge of river channel. I assume that this is due to the interpolation. I have attached some example images here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ … sp=sharing
These rough walls have now a negative effect on the morphological modelling.
Therefore the question:
How is it possible to create the mesh in such a way that no such steps arise and a smooth wall is created?

I would be very pleased to receive an answer!

Thanks,
Jonathan

Re: Steps at the edge of the river channel

Hi Jonathan,

you can create some raster to generate some DTM patches. Then, when you are interpolating the mesh, select the "advanced" tab instead of the "basic". There you can select any raster you want to interpolate the quality mesh. The order of the rasters (up-->bottom) gives the order of the interpolation (the highest raster in the list will be used as first raster to interpolate, the second as second and so on).

Cheers,
Matteo
