Find an element that includes exact coordinates?

Hello everyone,
     I want to konw the coodninates in which element? for example,I want to check the physical experiment,the coordinate is G(1,2,3),but after creating mesh,How can i konw G in which element for output?thank you very much.

Hi jiang

you could check paraview where you have the coordinates of the nodes as well as the numbers of the elements related to the nodes.

Alternatively, you could import a text-file in QGIS with the coordinates of the points where you want your results and use QGIS to extrapolate the information you need.
