Warnings using Dredge

Hello

For my 2D simulation I'm using an exteranl_source of type dredge. After startig the simulation I get the following warnings.

1)      WARNING -> The slk source term is already initialized!
The existing slk source term is overwritten.

What does it mean?

Additionaly from the main screen of Basement this message pops up:

SedInput: Initialization of sediment sources (slk, sk, sfk)

What do slk, sk, sfk stand for?

2)    WARNING -> The dredge level 649 lies below the fix bed level 650. It is set to
        fixed bed level.

Do I understand the warning clearly, i.e.: It (the dredge level) is set to fixed bed level.

Regards

Re: Warnings using Dredge

Hi chri_and

1)      WARNING -> The slk source term is already initialized!
The existing slk source term is overwritten.

Are you setting multiple sediment sources on any of the elements in the mesh?

Regarding the source terms:
slk: Source term which isrelated to external sediment sources.
sfk: Source term which relates to the active layer thickness changing.
sk:  Source term which is related to sediment exchange between suspension and soil.

Regarding the dredge level:
Yes, the dredge level is set equal to the fixed bed level.

Best regards
Matthias
