Special_Output (stringdef_history)

Hi,

i am working on a 2D simulation of a river with multi grain transport. i have a boundary at the beginning of a rectangular channel: 1) sediment_discharge and 2) hydrograph. i have made some stringdefs along that rectangular channel and i have a spezial output defined on these stringdefs. the soil is fixed and the first stingdef is near to the boundary an the beginning.
the problem is that the boundary and the spezial_output do not match in the Qsed value. the value Q is good, but the qsed is about 1/3 of the value in the boundary.

do you have any ideas?
you really would help me out.

thx
Bernhard

Re: Special_Output (stringdef_history)

Dear Bernhard
The SPECIAL_OUTPUT stringdef_history is intended to get an idea what is happening over a stringdef inside your mesh.
What is really flowing over the model boundaries can be seen in the SPECIAL_OUTPUT boundary_history.

Furthermore, Qsed in SPECIAL_OUTPUT stringdef_history is only an approximation, since the bedload fluxes must be interpolated on the hydraulic edges.

Hope this helps!
Best, Lukas
