network couplng

Dear Sir,

i am working on an urban flood modelling using network coupling in basement . At certain times i face this error and basement asked for close the programme.

*******************************************************************************
*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Error !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
*******************************************************************************
-> There was no data pair found
in the boundary serie at time '20'.
   The program cannot continue.

i am unable to know what reason is creating this error .

thanx

Re: network couplng

Hey Adnan,

have you checked whether each of your subdomain models runs separately without domain coupling? In general one can suggest to run each subdomain separately first. If the setup is correct and no warnings or errors appear one can take the next step and couple the different subdomains.
Can you provide some more information about your model:

Which type of couplings do you use?
Does your model contain 1D and 2D subdomains?

Best regards, Stephan

Re: network couplng

Thanks sir Stephan for the reply

actually i am working on an urban area in which i am considering streets as 1-d channel and creating a network of streets and coupling them .

Re: network couplng

Hey Adnan,

It is difficult to say what is going wrong from distance. I can't reproduce your error in any of my coupling test cases. In another users model, which caused the same error message, there was a wrong hydraulic boundary condition defined at the inflow boundary of a coupled downstream subdomain. Make sure to define a BOUNDARY of type 'coupling_hydrograph' at the upstream boundary of your downstream subdomain.
If this doesn't solve the problem, please send me the *.bmc-file of your model. Eventually I can find out what might cause the problem than.

Regards Stephan
