It was 6 years ago, in 2004, that some students of our department gave us the opportunity to travel, attend/organize lectures and meet other engineers from all over Europe by founding LC Athens. We are thankful to them and try to keep up what they started.

During those 5 years of operation more than 300 active members have joined LC Athens, and the number of our members keeps increasing. Most of us decided to join LC Athens after taking part in an eestec event because they realized that what we call "Eestec's Spirit" is part of their way to be. Maybe this is the reason why we are so enthusiastic and active when it comes to matters related with our organization.

We consider the organization of a workshop as something very important that has to be done effectively so that every participant will be satisfied at the end of each day. And it is these efforts along with the great time we spend during the workshops that bring us together and bind us with friendship.

Like every other LC, LC Athens is self funded and operates internally and locally to provide activities on an international level. We are subject to Board for status reports, statutory meetings and all association wide matters like information dissemination, etc.
