Element surface permeability/ drainage/ seepage

Hi,

Does 2D Baseplane enable the incorporation of surface permeability, drainage or seepage of the land surface that water is being modelled over? I am not interested in modelling sediment transport or erosional/ deposition processes, only factoring the rate that water is absorbed in soils. I am modelling water flow over an area with high soil permeability so that the loss of water into the soil will have an impact on flow depth and velocity.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Kind regards
ZacM

Re: Element surface permeability/ drainage/ seepage

Hi ZacM

If you know the seepage rate, you could apply a hydraulic sink, e.g. hydraulic source with negative values defined over mat ID.

Hope this helps!
Best, Lukas
